Vhi will launch PMI 30 12 and PMI 31 12 on 1 December 2012.
PMI 30 12 (€961.11) will provide cover for a private room in a public hospital and a semi-private room in a private hospital. Specified hip, knee and shoulder replacement surgery and cataract surgery is covered 80% in private hospitals. There is a maternity accommodation grant of €3,500. Outpatient benefits, such as €60 per consultant visit, carry an outpatient excess of €125 per year.
PMI 31 12 (€1016.66) will provide cover for a private room in a public hospital and a semi-private room in a private hospital with a €100 private hospital excess per claim. Specified hip, knee and shoulder replacement surgery and cataract surgery is covered 80% in private hospitals, with a €100 excess per claim. There is a maternity accommodation grant of €3,500. There are significant outpatient benefits, such as €25 x 7 visits to a GP, dentist or alternative practitioner,which carry an outpatient excess of €1 per year.
